Molasses

Our molasses (pekmez) shelf features Otsa organic grape, mulberry and carob molasses and natural pine cone, black mulberry and juniper molasses; Lütfiye organic carob, mulberry and grape molasses; and Sazlıca organic mulberry molasses. OG natural beet molasses and Alaçatı natural fig molasses are here too.

We choose molasses clearly labeled as organic or natural. Molasses may crystallize over time, which is natural; letting the jar sit in warm water loosens it. Mixing it with tahini at breakfast is the classic way to enjoy it.
